Definitely Scarf Weather!

Well we've hit November and, here in Wales it is definitely scarf weather! Especially for short haired people such as myself.

I've picked some of my favourite scarves from UK sellers on Etsy, I hope you like them!

I love the military flavour of this cowl, plus it has a hood! How cool is that?

The colour of this cowl is so warm and autumnal and the little brass button is a lovely touch.

I absolutely adore this one! It's just so cute, I wanna snuggle up in it haha. In fact, the entire ClovaKnits store is full of wollies in the same style. Delish!

This one makes me think of the circus...or candy canes :D

Who doesn't love bacon and eggs? I mean really??

Well I hope you've seen something that has inspired you in some way! Be sure to keep warm this winter.

Moss Mountain

Oh crikey it's been a long time since I posted here! It's been a roller coaster since I last wrote to you lot, but I shan't bore you with my life story!

Today I am featuring a UK based felt artist who specialises in making tiny little felt creations.

Unfortunately I don't have the pleasure of owning any of the Moss Mountain pieces, although I would love to one day. I have taken to admiring them from afar through their Facebook page, which is regularly updated with new items and events.

Moss Mountain actually started with a single tiny mouse from another project that was never completed. The tiny mouse was listed for sale on her own which sparked enough interest for someone to ask for their own tiny piglet and it grew from there!

And it's not only adorable miniature beasts that are available from Moss Mountain. You can also adopt crochet kitty cats!

I've worked with felt before and it outright baffles me the way that this amazing lady manages to make these minute critters!

Be sure to check out Moss Mountain on Etsy and Facebook. You'll be amazed!

Vicious Cosmetics

I requested some samples from Vicious Cosmetics a week ago and they arrived today!! They arrived pretty quick, seeing as they had to travel from the USA to the UK.

I was given the choice of one full sized pot and 3 samples, or 6 samples. I asked for the deal with the full sized pot, which I chose myself, and 3 samples, which were chosen for me (I like suprises!).

First off, I love that the samples come in clamshells instead of those stupid baggies which are oh so awkward to get into! Also, the full sized pot comes shrink wrapped which means no nasty spillages while being shipped!

Here we have 8-Bit. This is a really nice black stuffed full of multi-coloured glitter. It applies lovely, but if you want it to be really black you'll have to build it up. But it's ok! This colour is totally able to do that.

Next up is Shark Bait. Now this one looks red in the pot but is actually a really nice vibrant, coral pink with a hit of sparkle. It applies beautifully too, with no need to build up and up to get the desired colour.

Now, here is Pew-Pew! I adore this colour, I really do. Unfortunately it was a bit tricksy to capture it's awesomeness on camera. It's an amazing, bold yellow-green with a nice fine yellow shimmer. Again, lovely application with easy vibrant results.

Last but not least we have Lapis. Lapis a beautiful blue which is truly blue and shimmery. I really love this one too actually and, like her sisters, Lapis applies with ease.

Here are my swatches too. Left to right, Shark Bait, Pew Pew!, Lapis and 8-Bit.

I had to come up with a look to show off my new found lovelies so here it is! We have Shark Bait on the inner half of the lid, Lapis on the outer and a touch of 8-Bit in the crease for extra sparkle (I also have Urban Decay's VZI i the duct).

So check out Vicious Cosmetics! Find them on Etsy or Facebook.

Hello 2011

I hope everyone had an amazing time ver the holiday period!

My other half, Adam, and I visited my family in the North East of England. We had a fantastic time! We went for walks in the snow, spent time with the family and ate far too much. :)

I'm not going to post my new year resolutions because that would be pretty boring! So instead I'm going to pot a bunch of things that I would like to have by this time next year. Some I plan to buy, some I plan to make but I shall have them :)

If you click on the pictures they should take you to their Etsy listing.

There's so much more stuff but if I posted it all, we'd be here forever!

I hope you all like my picks <3

Stecky Jewellery Designs

That's right, today we have handcrafted jewellery!

Stecky has been creating jewellery since he was in elementary school, so it i s a lifelong passion. All of her jewellery is beautifully simple with a hint of sparkle. Almost every piece that I have seen could easily be worn to work to add a bit of glamour and to a grand event like a ball.

Here are some of my favourite pieces.

I adore that last necklace *daydreams*

You can easily find Stecky on Etsy, deviantART and on Twitter so go check her out!
